Fluency and Pronunciation Training Workshop & Re-run

A series of four workshops focusing on individual aspects of connected speech

In each workshop, we will focus on one particular aspect of connected speech: linking; weak forms; stress, rhythm and intonation; pausing. You will have the chance to practise during each workshop and to get feedback from the facilitator and your peers. An important aspect of the practice will be to listen to part of a speech or presentation given by a well-known person, and then select extracts for analysis of the selected feature.

These workshops are based on the principle of regular practice and you will be expected to practise the feature in question during the following week. Although you may attend only individual sessions, it is recommended that you attend all four workshops in the series.

The workshops will be re-run during the term.
